Dad's game challenge was to let Ruby give him a manicure. Mine was to wear the unicorn Minnie headband for an hour.
On New Year's Eve we hosted a family party. The highlight of the evening was a game brought by Auntie Mel. She had a bunch of cups and when it was your turn you chose any remaining cup and turned it over. Inside was either a prize- Leona had a $20 bill in her cup-; something that would hurt- Eliza's said, "Choose any uncle and spank him as hard as you can." (Don't worry person reading this 20 years from now, it was weird to us at the time too.); or something somewhere in between- Gma Caldwell (who was in town and came) got a giant dill pickle. Everybody loved the game, and it was fun to watch other people go and try their luck.
