Even though she hadn't quite finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Leona still competed in the 3 trials at Veronica's birthday party. She had a lot of fun and as we got to each of the trials in the book Leona would give a meaningful, "Oh! Now I get it!" as to how each trial at the party was a riff on the one from the book.
We went to the North Texas Teen Book Festival. It was extremely crowded. We only went to one discussion panel, and sadly missed the graphic novel one as it was already full, but we left with some autographed books and some authors to look into.
