And we're off!
After a hard two-day snack bracket battle this is what emerged as the winner. It was a very competitive bracket, and one in which, at Collin's insistence, original goldfish did not appear.
The highlight of this leg of the trip was reuniting with the King cousins and meeting some of the Flowers cousins (Isaac is on his mission and Lincoln had important teenage stuff to do and couldn't come.) The kids had a blast together and were making plans for a sleepover on the return leg, but spoiler alert they came down with the flu two days after we left, and we weren't able to see them again on this trip.
We also went on a hike with G & G Roueche which was fun. Along the way we discovered that someone had hidden tiny (plastic) jewels on the path. This turned the hike into a treasure hunt, which was amazing! We made sure to leave the jewels so that the next group to hike the trail also got a treasure hunt.
