Leona had a super fun birthday! For starters she got to go to buddy school on her birthday, which was a blast as always and then after school we celebrated as a family. She got a PJ Masks lunchbox, which was a big hit since she had been feeling left out of the lunchbox game. She also got a Hello Kitty rescue helicopter and a massive playdo set. We have a family tradition of on someone's birthday we go around the table at dinner and everyone tells something that they like about the birthday person. One of the compliments that Leona consistently gets is that she is so enthusiastic. She was very enthusiastic about all of her gifts. Oohing and aahing over each one before diving in to open the next.
The Saturdays following her birthday we had a party for friends. The theme was My Little Pony and we had a My Little Pony Hunt, did MLP glitter tattoos, ate pink and purple cupcakes, and generally "horsed around". (Couldn't resist.😁) It was a lot of fun. Her birthday party actually turned into an all day affair because due to a date and time change (The party was supposed to have been the Saturday before her birthday but she got sick so we had to change it.) two of her friends missed the party and we had a do over with them coming over for a playdate in the afternoon.
We are so blessed to have sweet, enthusiastic, fun Leona in our family. She is a joy to be around. She gives me little kisses on my cheek throughout the day. Leona loves to talk about Jesus and talks about how bad guys in stories need to repent. She is actually pretty hilarious because she will string together quite the list of gospel buzzwords and give a long speech about their importance and meaning. She likes to hold my hand when we go places and be my tag along buddy. Although she wishes she got to go to school with her sisters she and I have a good time together during the day. She is most happy when she is having stories read to her or riding her scooter outside with her sisters. Leona is wonderful to have in our family!
