Monster Road Trip Ashburn, VA Leg

This was my favorite thing that we did- go to Harper's Ferry in West Virginia. It was beyond beautiful and wandering around the historic town was fun too. After going to West Virginia I wanted to move there. Luckily for the children, who don't want to move, the largest city in WV has 49,000 people and dropping so we won't be moving there any time soon.

The other favorite part of Virginia was of course hanging out/meeting the King cousins. Everybody got along really well and the kids pretty much disappeared to play with each other as soon as we arrived. There were lots of movies filmed while we visited. Lots of drums played. Lots of giggling. It really is such a bummer that we don't get to see the cousins more often.

We missed that Washington DC Temple open house by 2 days, but we still went to walk the temple grounds on the Sunday that we were there. We saw the visitor's center and took a walk that may or may not have been a purposeful trail around the temple. Collin enjoyed sharing the temple that he'd gone to as a kid with the kids.

Another activity we did was go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum which was out close to the King's house. The kids thought it was pretty fun.
