We got to Texas a couple days before Easter so we got to celebrate Easter with the cousins. The Saturday before Easter the big kids went to a neighborhood Easter party/egg hunt that even had a train to ride. We had matching Easter clothes for everybody so that made the bluebonnet photos extra cute. :) Although Leona refused to look at the camera for most of the photos so you'll just have to guess at exactly how cute she was. We also had Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt over at Uncle Tutu and Aunt Lana's house. Leona was in prime form for the egg hunt, finding dozens of eggs.
While there we also went to the park, the "beach" (which is a man-made sandy edge to a lake), had tons of fun with cousins, went to a botanical garden, and a trampoline park. Also noteworthy is that Clara and Veronica's birthday happened while we were there so in addition to Clara getting her ears pierced we also had a double birthday party. Both girls picked something that they were really into and we combined the theme. Veronica chose "mad scientist/slime making" and Clara chose "doctor/medical procedures". For Veronica's activity the kids made slime, and for Clara's activity the kids got to use real syringes (under adult supervision) to inject oranges with blue water and bandage themselves up as much as they wanted. It was a lot of fun. Mostly we just spent as much time with family and outside as we could.
