Port Aransas

Since we no longer live next to the beach we took a trip to the beach. Most people would consider this to be a vacation, but when we told the kids that we were going to the beach for family vacation Clara was indignant. She said that "going to the beach wasn't a vacation, it was just normal." Spoiled Seattle children. At least it was still novel that the water was warm enough to get in it without worrying about hypothermia.

We went to Port Aransas, which is WAY farther away than we initially thought, down by Corpus Christi. We rented an apartment on the beach and had a great time.  We played in the ocean, boogie boarded, got ice cream, rode on a Pirate Cruise, played in the sand when the jelly fish got too numerous, swam in the apartment pool, and generally relaxed and had a good time.

Jelly Fish stings. All of the girls got stung multiple times, but the boys never got stung. If jellyfish were sentient beings it would've felt intentional.

Leona is still in her "I refuse to be in the photo" phase.
