This was taken at the ward Trunk or Treat a few days before
Halloween. We tried to convince Eliza and Clara to join the family
costume and be Rosalyn (Calvin's babysitter) and Susie (the little girl he
tortures) respectively, but they couldn't be swayed. Eliza went as Ginny
Weasley and Clara was Matilda. Clara had to be convinced to bring the
pitcher with a salamander in it. She couldn't seem to understand that
otherwise she was just dressed as a little girl. We had bought the blue
dress specifically for the costume so in her mind it WAS a Matilda costume.

Lantern, Me, Collin
Leona was copying the face on our candy bowl, but with the addition of making it look like there was a lit candle inside. That's why there's white and yellow. I thought she did a pretty clever job of adding that.
One of the party activities was making play-do monsters. Leona stuck a pipe cleaner all the way through her monster, flipped it over, and informed me that that was where all of the monster's poop and pee comes out. *eyeroll*
These photos were taken at the
school during Leona's class party and then as they were getting ready to go to the "move-a-thon" that they hold every Halloween at the kids' school. The kids
get to wear their costumes while they walk laps around the school. It's a
great use of time on Halloween as far as I'm concerned. The kindergartners get picked up by their 6th grade buddies who escort them during the move-a-thon. I guess they just assume that all kindergartners and 6th graders are flight risks so you should pair them up and they'll be mutually good influences.
The photo below was taken on actual
Halloween. Leona wore different costumes to every event while Eliza and Clara
stuck with their looks.
